Unfortunately, ‘Ghoomar’ faced a slow start at the box office. According to a report by Sacnilk, the movie managed to gather only Rs 85 lakh on Friday, the 18th of August. The strong and successful performances of last week’s releases, ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘OMG 2,’ have notably impacted the business of ‘Ghoomar.’

Comparing the opening day collections, Abhishek Bachchan’s previous theatrical release, Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyaan’ (2018), garnered Rs 3.52 crore. Surprisingly, ‘Ghoomar’ had a weaker opening even when compared to Abhishek’s debut film ‘Refugee,’ released in 2001, which managed to collect Rs 1.56 crore on its first day.

Abhishek remarked, ‘This idea was entirely Aaradhya’s. It takes a remarkable level of insight and affection for a child to come up with something like this, and I am immensely grateful to her for it.'”
